We all have feelings. Feelings include being sensitive or having sensitivity. Merriam Webster’s Dictionary defines sensitivity this way: the quality or state of being sensitive: such as
a: the capacity of an organism or sense organ to respond to stimulation: IRRITABILITY
b: the quality or state of being hypersensitive
c: the degree to which a radio receiving set responds to incoming waves
d: the capacity of being easily hurt
e: awareness of the needs and emotions of others

Feelings are neither right nor wrong. It’s fine to have a feeling. How you express that feeling or cope with, it is entirely different. For example, if you are ecstatic because something extraordinary happened, expressing your happiness is acceptable; however, there are degrees to everything. Calling friends to share your good news is acceptable; jumping up and swinging from a chandelier while shouting your news is not.
Consider for a moment, bad news. You may be overly sensitive after receiving bad news. You don’t want to hurt someone because you received bad news. Being sensitive is okay, but we must remember that the right mix of empathy and sensitivity is essential. Have a blessed day!
