It’s Too Much!

I’ve said this before, have you? I regretfully admit that I’ve said it more than once. Sigh. Daily life can get tough, even if you’re healthy. I do my best not to show how I feel when I’m not feeling well. I have multiple invisible illnesses that affect me daily to one degree or another. I wear a mask most of the time that has nothing to do with the pandemic. For over 30 years, I’ve worn my mask of a smile. Most people have no idea when I don’t feel well because I may slow down, but seldom do I allow myself to give in to my invisible illnesses. THIS POST IS NOT A PITY PARTY NOR IS IT MEANT TO BE A PAT ON THE BACK.

I want people to fight against their disease(s), whatever it might be! Become a warrior! YOU ARE IN CHARGE, NOT YOUR DISEASE!! It’s hard. I kid you not; however, you are NOT alone!! You have Him in your corner 24/7 and hopefully a chosen group of friends and or relatives, spouses/ significant others with whom you can take off your mask without fear.

Everyone has a lot on their plates. What helps me the most? Simple things like laughter, being silly even at 67 years young; cartoons from my childhood – Looney Tunes! Bugs Bunny, Donald Duck, Wile E. Coyote & Road Runner! I used to watch them every Saturday morning with my big brother, Mike. We would laugh until we cried! What fond memories. The other day we were talking about our childhood Saturday mornings. We both still watch our Looney Tunes.

No matter what you do, my advice is to find a tension release and use it. Things seem easier to accomplish, or at least I have a fresh perspective. My best wishes to you all and blessings!
