Worldly is a word we use to describe someone with experience, which can be a positive or negative description. In my book, Forever And Always, my male protagonist, John McDougal, is described as being worldly. He just turned eighteen as the story opens. At five foot eleven inches, he was tall with broad shoulders and a lean waist. His full, thick, black hair and brown eyes could make any young lady swoon.
John was of Scottish descent. He spoke with a confident voice and showed maturity in his actions. At just eighteen, he was far from ready to settle down. John was older and had seen many things in his travels. He was a man of God and not afraid to speak of it. Learn more about who John McDougal was in my book, Forever And Always.
