And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
(Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV)
Why is it necessary to go to church? Can’t I worship God in my own way? Let’s consider that Jesus Christ established the Church. He is the head, and we are the body. A headless body is lifeless. That’s a sobering thought to ponder.
There are also practical reasons for getting together as a church body. As we corporately worship and pray together, we give glory to God and acknowledge His Lordship in our lives. Fellowship with other believers is designed to encourage and spur us on to love and good works. Jesus started the Church because its benefits are vital to the believer’s life and the advancement of His Kingdom.
Resolve to be in church this Sunday. You will never regret that decision because it is God’s will for you.
