He Is Risen!

Yesterday was Ressurection Sunday. I sat back today at our family’s Easter celebration with my 94 and 95-year-old parents. As we shared a banquet together, I enjoyed my entire family. There was such joy there! My parents were married in 1949. They had 5 children and all of us were in attendance today; not to mention my parents’ grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were also there.

I began to think about all that Jesus did for me; coming into existence to save me! I know it wasn’t just me; you had to be there. He was born of a virgin, he lived, learned, and preached in His thirty-three years on this earth. He didn’t have to suffer and die on the cross on Golgotha. I am overwhelmed and incredibly humbled by the love that He showed for me! I didn’t deserve it, but He did it because He knew me before I was and He loved me. That is a true definition of love that we need to note. He did that for everyone that has ever lived on Earth up until now and in the future!

To be surrounded by the love of my parents, siblings, and the family’s offspring, made me realize just how blessed I truly am! I pray that everyone realizes how important family is, now and in the future. Praise God! Blessings, all!
