Yesterday, there was a bluebottle in my room, buzzing back and forth between the windows until I freed him. Have you not noticed how beautiful a bluebottle is? Such colors, flimsy wings, and such eyes! He was fascinating.
Bluebottle: any of several blowflies (genus Calliphora) that have the abdomen or the whole body iridescent blue in color and that make a loud buzzing noise in flight.
