Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (NIV)
God blesses us so we can be a blessing to others. When we sow generously, we will also reap generously. A cyclical pattern of sowing and reaping develops where our lives act as conduits through which God’s grace flows. Another way to describe it is that God’s blessings flow through our lives and spill over into the lives of those around us. The more we sow, the more we reap. God’s glory is the end result.
We can generously give of our money, time, and talents. Seek the Lord’s counsel on what He desires for you to give financially. This also applies to our time and talents. We can’t meet every need we encounter. Ask the Lord how He wants you to spend your time and talents. Then see how He applies your needs so you can generously give to others. Bless you, my friends.
