Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:6-7 NIV)
Moses was a Hebrew baby born in Egypt. When the king issued an edict to kill all male Hebrew babies, Moses’ mother hid him. After three months, she couldn’t hide him any longer, so she laid him in a papyrus basket among the reeds of the Nile River. God miraculously rescued Moses. He grew up in Pharaoh’s own household, where God prepared him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt forty years later.
Being a “basket case” usually carries negative connotations. We use it to describe feeling unable to handle one more thing. We feel anxious and fearful. But what if we viewed being a “basket case” in a different way? What if we emulated Moses’ mother and trusted the Lord completely, believing that our circumstances had a divine purpose?
Have faith that God will bring about His will in your life. God will protect you the same way he protected Moses. He will provide for you. God indeed can be trusted; place your life in His hands.
