God’s Unconditional Love

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

(Romans 8:38-39 NIV)

Have you ever shaken your fist at God in anger? Perhaps your mother or father was diagnosed with cancer, your best friend died of a massive heart attack with no warning, or your spouse walked out on you. In pain, we may lash out at God and say, “What are You doing? Why did You allow this?” The truth is nothing can separate us from God’s love.

Even if we express anger at God, His love for us never wavers. He doesn’t turn His back when we raise our fists. He doesn’t reject us when we don’t understand His ways. He stands by us in our hour of anguish and waits. He allows us to wail, question, and express our anger. He continues to love us as He always has and always will. God meets us in the depths of our despair and holds us. He understands our pain. His desire is that we continue to trust Him even as we walk through our deepest valleys. As we turn to Him, He will peacefully bring us through our valleys. His love for His children is unconditional; turn to Him today.
