Holy Living

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

(Colossians 3:17 NIV)

We must ask ourselves this difficult question: Are we living for God or living for self? The answer to that question is reflected in our daily choices and priorities. Our lives produce fruit that indicates our choice. Either our lives reflect kindness, humility, gentleness, and forgiveness, or greed, anger, malice, and lies will characterize our lives. God gave us free will. The choice is ours.

Since we have been raised with Christ, we are encouraged to set our hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. We should choose to put to death whatever belongs to our earthly nature. Whatever we do, we’re able to do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, always giving thanks to God through Him.

When we live for the Lord, peace will rule our hearts. We will be filled with gratitude and thankfulness. A life lived for the Lord will be a life with no regrets.
