Serving God

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

(Philippians 3:14 NIV)

Paul was passionate, yet his efforts were misdirected. He was obsessed with persecuting Christians until the Lord stopped him dead in his tracks on the road to Damascus. Following his conversion, Saul became the Apostle Paul. Christ became his passion, and serving Him, his life’s goal.

Have you ever thought about the purpose of your life? Why are you/we here? Many goals are noble, but only one is best. The best news is that no matter your age, career, or gender, you can serve the Lord right where you are!

That’s what I’m doing. I wanted to spread the Word of God to everyone I came into contact with, but my body wouldn’t cooperate. I began praying for the Lord to guide me; show me how I could serve Him even with this body and mind that works on a sometimes basis. A friend came to me with the idea of a blog. It seems to work well; it fills the open hole I had in my heart, yearning to serve Him.

Serving the Lord is the highest calling, the only one with eternal rewards. If you don’t know how to proceed, ask Him for guidance! Blessings, everyone!
