But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also comes through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ, all will be made alive.
(1 Corinthians 15:20-22 NIV)
Three days after Jesus was crucified, He rose from the dead. He spent forty days on earth before ascending to Heaven. During that time, Jesus walked through a locked door to show Thomas the scars on His hands. He cooked breakfast for the disciples on the beach and reinstated Peter. All of these things are proof that Jesus was raised from the dead!
Just as death came through one man, Adam, eternal life comes to us through another man, Jesus Christ. The spiritual condemnation that we inherited through Adam was settled at the cross on Calvary. God raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus sits at His Father’s right hand in Heaven. Someday, we, too, will be raised to live with Him forever. This profound truth should impact our daily lives! Blessings, all.
