Righteousness vs. Unrighteousness

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.

(Psalm 1:1-2 NIV)

Where do you seek wise counsel? Perhaps you phone a friend or tune in to Dr. Phil on TV. In today’s world, we are bombarded with advice from so many sources. Where do you turn for great advice? How can we make sound judgments with so much advice at our feet?

Check the counsel you receive with what God’s Word says. The Bible is truth. We can depend on it unwaveringly. Anything that opposes the truth is a lie. Be discerning in all things. There is joy in obeying God. God blesses those who refuse to listen to advice from the ungodly. The wicked will lead us down a path that separates us from God. Don’t follow them down that road! The righteous meditate on God’s Word day and night. They have a firm foundation that can’t be destroyed! They will prosper because they trust God for everything. God will be faithful to always watch over the righteous.
