Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
(Psalm 62:1-2 NIV)
Waiting requires patience. For most of us, patience is not something that comes easy. Have you ever prayed for patience and then found yourself standing in the longest line at the checkout? Patience must be learned. Waiting also requires humility. Rather than barging ahead with our own solution, we defer to someone else instead.
Waiting on the Lord is always the right choice. We must never forget the anchor of our souls. God promises never to leave us or forsake us. Waiting on the Lord requires faith and patience, as well as constant prayer. We can wait with an expectancy that God will answer as He has promised us.
Seeking our own answers is not the solution. Give God all of your trust to handle every situation in His way. His timing is best. He is faithful and will never disappoint us! If your direction on something is unclear, wait until you have clarity and peace before deciding. You’ll be glad you did.
