Sin

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

(Genesis 3:6 NIV)

Many of us are familiar with the fall of Adam and Eve, as described in Genesis 3. They chose to disobey God. Have we ever stopped and intentionally examined our hearts? What temptations are satisfying to our hearts; make us feel important?

Sin is a disease, not a weakness. It is rebellion against God. To admit “I have sinned” is very difficult. However, this is precisely what we must confess if we want to restore our relationship with God. Everyone has sinned and fallen short. However, God is ready and willing to forgive and restore us.
