Priority of Prayer

Pray continually.

(1 Thessalonians 5:17 NIV)

The Apostle Paul instructs us to “pray continually.” We are to pray without ceasing. What does that mean? We have jobs, families, and responsibilities. We can’t sit in church all day or have our eyes closed for a long time in prayer.

We can live in an attitude of prayer even while we are engaged in our daily activities. To pray without ceasing means to be in constant contact with the Triune. Pray about everything—trivial or earthshattering. God is always listening and ready to help. No matter where we are, God is with us at all times. When we communicate with the Triune throughout the day, we experience an intimate fellowship that enables us to handle whatever life throws at us. We all need to make prayer a priority in our lives. Blessings all!
