All That We Think We Know

Truly I tell you, anyone, who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them, and blessed them.

(Mark 10:15-16 NIV)

Lord, when I speak to others about my faith, sometimes I see doubt in their faces. Faith doesn’t always make sense to the “rational” adult in us, unfortunately.

Please give me the grace that will enable me, and others, to come to You with open minds, open hearts, and open arms. I know that once we clear our minds of all that we think we know, all will become clear to us through You.

Being childlike isn’t the same as being childish. Childishness would point to a lack of maturity, a lack of self-control, and a tendency toward foolishness. Childlikeness has to do with being innocent, humble, full of love, and awe.

Blessings to you, all.
