Challenges

Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, with the challenge: “Come, let us face each other in battle.”

(2 Kings 14:8 NIV)

We all face challenges in our lives. It’s how we handle them that is important. We have two choices, the way I see it. We can curl up in a ball or fetal position and let them overtake us. However, I don’t recommend this choice. It doesn’t help you learn about your Savior and what He can do because you see, no matter how important we are in this world, I don’t believe we can conquer our challenges alone.

The second choice is more difficult, but no matter, I prefer it. My choice is to meet my challenges head-on. Don’t curl up. Don’t run away. Sometimes, like now, for instance, I get overwhelmed by my given challenges. During those times, I ask my prayer warriors to pray with me and for me. They usually don’t know the reason because He knows. I reach out to God also for strength to get through my challenges.

I believe most challenges come from God as a way to teach us, build a relationship with Him, and strengthen our faith. There are others that I think come from Satan to pull us away from God and into his realm. I also reach out to God for strength during these challenges for strength and protection.

I would ask each of you who are reading this to pray for me. As I said, I am feeling overwhelmed by my challenges right now. Thank you and, blessings to you all.
