Nudges Toward Faith

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came

into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.

(1 Timothy 1:15 NIV)

Lord, today a little white lie slipped so easily out of my mouth to save me from a trying commitment. As soon as I felt your little tug on my conscience, I knew I had to come clean with it and repair my relationship with You and my friend.

I know that the lie wasn’t small in Your eyes, and it was a reminder that I am always vulnerable to sin. Suppose I didn’t feel your nudge to repair the situation as soon as possible. In that case, I might have fallen into complacency that would make me vulnerable to any number of more serious sins. So I thank you for nudging me, Lord, and for forgiving me, yet again.

Thank you for nudging us, Lord, and for blessing and guiding us.
