Lord, if only all the false gods that lure us were clearly labeled. We are introduced to wealth, physical perfection, and romance – and it isn’t until we realize that the pursuit of them is using up way too much of our resources that we have made these things our gods. Help us keep even good things in balance and never pursue anything with more fervor than we pursue our relationship with You.
