Merriam Webster Dictionary defines privilege as a right or benefit given to some people and not to others, the advantage that wealthy and powerful people have over other people in a society.
I have a somewhat different outlook. Things other people see as curses, or bad luck, or the most terrible thing in their life, I have decided, are privileges or gifts that I was given. Why do you ask? For me, as a Christian, it is simple. I know that life is hard for many people, for most people, in fact.
I’ve decided to use what God has given me; now I’m speaking health-wise at the moment and live my life the best I possibly can, not for me, but for His glory. I feel that whatever happens to me is truly of no importance, but how I live my life is essential. Oh, I could be a cry baby and a “woe is me” person, but that doesn’t help me out at all. It just makes me feel worse than I already do.
I don’t mind people knowing that I have medical issues. I want people to see how I choose to cope with my problems and hopefully inspire them not to let things get them down. I admire Paul so much. He went through so much, even being imprisoned and stoning. I do my best to keep smiling through my discomfort and or pain. May you be blessed.
